Breakfast is served until 8:30. Any children arriving after this time need to be fed prior to arrival. In addition to breakfast I will provide a morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. I am a member of the USDA food program and will provide meals in accordance to their guidelines. A typical snack might be yogurt with fruit and crackers. Snacks from home for fun or for birthdays are welcome as long as there is enough for all the children. I have found that this gives the child a sense of pride to be able to share.
Parents will be expected to provide me with a copy of their infant’s daily routines in regards to napping and feeding, so that I can accommodate those needs accordingly. In accordance with the guidelines established by the American Academy of Pediatrics to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), I will be placing infants on their backs to sleep. Also, I will not allow any stuffed animals, loose blankets, or loose clothing items to be placed in the crib with the infant. Infants will be held during feeding times and at no time will a bottle be propped up for them. Parents will need to provide breast milk in the proper storage containers, or formula as well as jarred baby food. All food will be kept in the appropriate place at the required temperatures. If your child uses a bottle it must be clearly marked with your child’s name.
